Pictured above is a piece from my show called Queen Annes lace. At the show someone fell in love with it, it was one of the ones to find a new home. I’m honored that they bought it, and couldn’t be happier with the purchaser! (thanks Mary Beth!)
I’m happy to say the show went very very well. I can’t believe I completed it! My show, my first art show! It’s a addiction I am happy to comply with! Whens the next one? We shall see, working on a few options! My show is up until the 26th, if your local please stop by and see it! It’s at Gallery in the Grove.
For now I have picked up my paintbrush, I haven’t worked in watercolors in years, so stay tuned! Now that I don’t have to eat, breath and sleep a up coming show, I can take the time to update my poor neglected site. Right now I have the workings of a water lily…I love that flower…hopefully I can make it look beautiful. I also am working on a few cut outs…I’m trying to perfect my skills…so I am working on a picture I have of family member (more to come later on…) and I thought I’d try working of the almighty word. It’s a beautiful piece that Shakespeare wrote and it works well with my show coming to a close…if it works out I’ll post it
‘Our revels now are ended’
Our revels now are ended. These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air: And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff As dreams are made on, and our little life Is rounded with a sleep.
